Love Day

It was a great Valentine's Day weekend in the SF Pack-land.  After a long week for all the pack members, including pack member Jordi who has been having a hard time adjusting to our busy schedules, we took the weekend off to relax.  The human pack started Valentine's Day Evening with a BYOW (bring your own wine) painting class at the Yi Yan Art Academy in San Francisco.  This is the second time we attended Yi's class and we love it!  Yi is upbeat and fun and she explains each step of the painting process really well.  It's easy to keep up, even for those of us who are not art experts.  We painted Van Gogh's Almond Tree and enjoyed wine, snacks, music, and the company of our good friends Kevin and Colette.

 {All apron-ed out}

 {Yi's beautiful paintings.  Yi hosts classes every night in her studio.  During the day she paints and teaches small classes}

 {All ready to go.  Yi provides everything from aprons, canvas, painting brushes, and acrylic paint}

 {Nothing better than wine & our masterpieces!}

After our painting session, we had dinner at Flour + Water.  We had no reservation and thought we would have no chance of getting a table.  Lucky for us though, another party of four never showed up, so we were seated in just a few minutes.  That's unheard of at Flour + Water.  It was our lucky night!

We enjoyed a five-course meal with wine pairing.  Below were some our favorite dishes:

 {Crispy pork trotter with black truffle, lonza & brodo}

 {Beet caramelle with salsify, caviar & prosecco - we ruled that this was one of the best pasta dishes we have had so far!}

Meanwhile in pack member Jordi land:
 {Fetching at Bernal Heights Hill on a beautiful warm and sunny day}

{Miserable while getting a bath.  Gotta take the bitter with the sweet}

{Pack member Natalia's beautiful flowers}

Hope you all had a fantastic V-Day and thanks for visiting!
